Judy Smith, CSP
History, Background & Expertise
For 30 plus years, Ms. Smith worked as a Risk Control Consultant at Travelers Insurance Company. She started her career in safety and health an administrative assistant in Travelers Loss Prevention & Engineering Division in 1984. In 1987, Ms. Smith was promoted to a Loss Prevention Technician serving and training small business such as apartment complexes, hotels, restaurants and retail businesses. By 1995, Ms. Smith was promoted from technician to consultant working mostly with colleges, universities, schools, municipalities, and contractors. In 1997, Ms. Smith started working exclusively with construction clients and by 2002 had earned Construction Risk Control Specialist status. In this role, she has logged several thousand hours of training in a variety of topics both in the field and in the classroom. Ms. Smith was also a Regional Specialist for Post Injury Management and Ergonomics providing technical support and assistance to large construction clients and other Risk Control Consultants throughout the Northeast.
