Jean-Pierre "Pete" Moreau
Field Safety & Environmental Consultant/Trainer

Pete Moreau has 35 years of industrial, utility and consulting experience. He recently retired with 29 years of service from a large regional electric and gas utility. During his tenure with the Safety Department, Pete worked to ensure worker compliance with company safety and health rules, procedures and regulatory requirements. In the Environmental Affairs Department, he oversaw the long-term operation and maintenance of remedial systems at company waste sites. He managed Remediation Investigations/Feasibility Studies (RI/FS) at inactive hazardous waste sites, the majority being former manufactured gas plants containing coal tars, phenolics, PNA's, hydrocarbons, cyanides, and PCB's. Pete prepared Environmental Impact Statements, license applications and various permits for siting large utility construction projects (electric transmission lines, substations and gas pipelines). In the Nuclear Power division, Pete performed audits and evaluations of manufacturers, instrument suppliers, NDE testing facilities, and calibration laboratories for compliance with NRC regulations specified in 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, MIL-STD-45662, and US EPA. He has knowledge of inspection techniques in the visual, electrical, and instrument and control disciplines per ANSI.

Prior to coming to the utility, Pete worked for a not-for-profit research and development organization and a consulting engineering laboratory that provided consultation and analytical services to government, industry, and university clients. He also worked as the test laboratory chemist for a resource recovery firm that specialized in developing processes for commercial resource recovery of metals in waste materials.

Yolanda Y. Rosette, VP and Manager of Business Development

Yolanda Rosette is Vice President and Manager of Business Development at OSC. Ms. Rosette is responsible for the procurement of contracts, as well as OSC’s profit and loss analysis. She provides regulatory research on building codes, and safety and health matters for various clients, including banks, insurance companies, and industrial, municipal and commercial businesses.

Yolanda also manages various aspects of OSC, including:

  • Conduct regulatory research in EPA, OSHA, DOL, DEC, DOT and New York

State Code Rules to assist the company and its clients with maintaining compliance with current regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain vendor relationships.
  • Organize and complete service contracts.

Robert Stevens, Trainer

Bob Stevens has worked in safety and health for over 15 years and has worked as an instructor for Region II OSHA Education Centers since 1997. He joined OSC in 2003 and has worked with construction companies, manufacturers, municipalities, health care organizations, educational institutions and the insurance industry, providing safety consulting and training on a variety of topics.

He has also worked in the maritime industry for over 20 years and holds a U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s license for 100-ton vessels. Bob is an OSHA-authorized Outreach Trainer in both Construction and General Industry.

Diego Suarez, Trainer

Diego has been working in the safety and health field for over 20 years, specializing in environmental surveys and training, as well as construction safety training. He has performed consulting services for transit authorities, power authorities, schools, private contractors and labor unions.

Diego’s past work as an Environmental Training Manager, in which he was responsible for the development and implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs for course content and delivery, plus his experience as a project monitor, provide him with a unique skill set that allows him to convey real life situations in the classroom or provide onsite coaching and recommendations in the field.

Jim Waterman, Field Services Consultant/Trainer

Jim Waterman joined Occupational Safety Consultants in 2010. He received his journeyman electrical certificate in 1979 and worked for 30 years in the electrical construction industry. Jim has three years of direct experience in health and safety. During his career, he has worked as a construction supervisor, project manager, general foreman and trainer.

In addition, Jim has expertise in electrical safety and electrical safety work practices. He also is adept in compliance assessments, risk management audits and process evaluations. His primary responsibility at OSC is field services consultant and trainer—conducting job site audits, working with onsite management staff in the identification job site hazards and implementing recommendations and hazard control measures.

Susan Zampella, Industrial Hygienist/Trainer

Susan Zampella joined OSC in Spring 2010 and brings a wealth of experience in a broad range of environmental, health and safety applications in diverse settings, which include schools, colleges and universities, residential complexes and chemical and manufacturing facilities. Sue’s experience also includes working as a plant safety engineer, industrial hygienist, environmental manager and risk management consultant. During her career, Sue has worked with companies to develop ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and achieving OSHA’s VPP Star status.

Sue has the knowledge and expertise in managing and mitigating risk for clients in the general and construction industry, municipalities and schools. She has provided hazard specific training to a variety of clients and has taught as an adjunct professor in the Rochester Institute of Technology’s College of Applied Science and Technology, Environmental Management and Safety program. For the past two years, she has taught for the Region II OSHA Education Center, teaching Industrial Hygiene, Respiratory Protection, Recordkeeping and General Industry.
